A practical path for Lancaster families ready for a clearer next step.

Calm Wellness helps parents connect chronic pediatric symptoms to the gut, immune system, nutrition, infections, environmental exposures, sleep, and stress physiology. You can start with a free consult, use telehealth for most care, and come to Morgantown when an in-person visit is the better fit.

Step 1

Start with a consult.

Tell us what has been happening, what has already been tried, and what you want answered. We will talk through fit for your Lancaster family.

Step 2

Choose in-person or telehealth.

Families from Lancaster can visit our Morgantown office when hands-on assessment is helpful, then use telehealth for many follow-ups. The drive is about 35 min.

Step 3

Leave with a written plan.

We map symptoms, review prior labs, order targeted testing when needed, and give you a plan for food, routines, supplements, referrals, and follow-up.

Lancaster has good conventional care.

Lancaster families have strong access to conventional pediatric care through Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, WellSpan, and a network of pediatric specialists. The pediatricians are well-trained, the specialty depth is real, and the local hospital systems are competent. Calm Wellness adds a pediatric functional medicine practice with the credentials and clinical depth to take chronic complex pediatric conditions seriously, run real testing, build individualized plans, and stay with the case when the standard playbook runs out. We see Lancaster families at our Morgantown clinic on Fridays, about 35 minutes east on PA-23, and via telehealth throughout the week. The drive is scenic, mostly through farmland; many Lancaster families tell us the drive has become a small ritual.

A note for the homeschool, Mennonite, and Plain communities.

We work with families across the homeschool, Mennonite, Amish, and Plain communities of Lancaster County and the surrounding region. We are a community partner of Tucker Academy in Morgantown, a hybrid homeschool serving similar families. Our pricing is intentionally accessible:

  • Free 15-minute consult.
  • Visit and package costs are explained on your free consult, before you book anything.
  • The GI Reset Mini Package as a complete, lower-commitment starting product.
  • HSA and FSA cards accepted. Calm Wellness is cash-pay, and many Plain-community families use a different insurance model that may not apply to functional medicine. We provide superbills on request for any family who wants to submit for partial reimbursement. We are mindful of the dietary and lifestyle context within Plain communities. Recommendations are adjusted to work with raw milk, traditional foods, and home-prepared meals when those are part of the family’s life.

What we treat most often for Lancaster families.

  • Chronic gut issues, constipation, IBS-like patterns, reflux, food sensitivities. Very common, very treatable.
  • ADHD and learning differences, looking at gut-brain, food chemical, sleep, and nutrient contributors before or alongside medication.
  • Eczema that has been on steroid creams for years.
  • PANS/PANDAS, sudden-onset OCD, tics, regression. Often overlooked in this region; we treat it as the immune-mediated condition it is.
  • Autism spectrum support, individualized gut-brain care.
  • Lyme and tick-borne illness, Lancaster County has a real Lyme exposure profile.
  • Recurrent ear infections, recurrent strep, chronic congestion, all of which often have a gut and immune component worth investigating.

The first visit is usually 60 to 75 minutes depending on age and complexity. We take a comprehensive history, recommend specific functional medicine testing based on what we learn, and explain the next steps. You will leave with a clear plan and the testing logistics. We work alongside your existing pediatrician or primary care provider. For Plain-community families with limited or no conventional pediatric relationship, we discuss what conventional care should be in place alongside our work and help you build that connection if needed.
